Hello all you Rockers,

Welcome to the ABN Rock Update for the week of November 28th, 2008. This week we have four bands that truly rock to share that I have personally aero-certified, and for you first time viewers and listeners I am Aero and this is Tannrr.

So I would like to call this shows format: “Poison, Warriors, Tunnels and BJ’S”.

So let’s get this party started with the Showcase band and a brief description.

- This act will literally knock the wind out of you like a kidney punch, just to want another; I bring to you:

1. Toxic

http://www.myspace.com/toxicnorway

Type of MusicRock/ Metal/ Progressive

Coming to you out of: Norway

Toxic: Delivers some old skool headbanging almost in the form of Metal Opera, anyone remember “Savatage”. Within every song you’re in for a wicked ride with the wide ranged vocals, evil guitar riffs, and thunder of the skins. I was stunned and actually thought of “Rainbow” or even “Dio” and realized this was 2008 and not 1970. If you’re into hard rock, true heartfelt jamming and not scared to even get a little brutal, this act is going to blow your mind and fulfill your desire almost to the point of hallucinating only to want more of them.

Their new video:

Tinnitus

My favorite songs are: “Feed me bitch” and “Lucifer"
Rated:
(4 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke

- First known as “A Day in the Life”, Victory is in the eye of the beholder and the strong do survive; I bring to you this week’s Headline Band:

2. Hawthorne Heights

http://www.myspace.com/hawthorneheights

Type of MusicRock

Coming to you out of: Dayton, Ohio United States

Hawthorne Heights: is incidentally and maybe a little controversial, but who the hell cares if you have true fans, they are what fuels your success or fall. I’ll tell you what; they are survivors, and are true warriors. They are the new generation and pros at social networking, even going through up and downs they offer trademark melodies, hooks and impressive domination with their genre free sound. Some may call them emo or screamo even, I call them rock stars and the world is at their feet and I like them. With the loss of Casey they have not replaced him but honored him and continue his dream, our hearts are heavy and light, we laugh and scream and sing. Rock on boys it’s an honor to review you all.

My favorite songs are: “This is who we are” and “Ohio is for lovers”

Current Hot CD is: “Fragile Future”

Scheduled shows: November 28th, 2008 out to December 7th, 2008 (The Never Sleep Again Tour)

Rated: (5 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke

- I have dreamt of flying throughout my life and still get excited on roller coasters even as an adult; I bring to you this week’s Shout-out for the show:

3. Beyond the Labyrinth

http://www.myspace.com/beyondthelabyrinth

Type of MusicRock /Metal /Progressive

Coming to you out of: Belgium

Beyond the Labyrinth: with the rough looks of Jo and his angelic vocals and Geerts masterminded song writing and riffs, and the remaining brilliance's of Danny, Gerry and Bruno we are offered a masterpiece that took 12 years to unfold. You’re in for an intense classic and emotional ride of close to an hour but a lifetime to absorb and enjoy. This band is purely phenomenal and I am proud to share them.

My favorite songs are: “Castle in the game” and “Time to fly”

Current Hot CD is: “Castles in the Sand”

Scheduled shows: November 30th, 2008

Rated: (4 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke

- One of my favorite venues is the Showbox in Seattle, and this act lit that club up on Nov 22nd; I bring to you the Closer for this week’s show:

4. Minus the Bear

http://www.myspace.com/minusthebear

Type of MusicExperimental / Rock / Indie

Coming to you out of: Seattle, Washington United States

Minus the Bear: have been around since 2001 and know just how to hit the right notes and are a sublime success with their bloodless precision and inventive rock style and will honestly take your breath away and leave you mesmerized with their elegant maturity. If you’re into some truly amazing guitar playing and finely crafted songs and have the time to listen their music packs a hella punch.

My favorite songs are: “Knights” and “Pachuca Sunrise”

Current Hot CD is: “Acoustics”

Scheduled shows: Just fresh of their fall US tour and booked for February 21st 2009 to March 2nd 2009 in Australia

Rated: (5 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke

Remember: to check out all the bands MySpace pages and websites mentioned on the show for further details and to catch a show and purchase a CD, if you like them too, let them know where the hell you heard about them from, and also share them and us with all your friends.

Bash/ and or Prayers Out: Who we bashing Aero?

(See exactly what we had to say by watching this week’s show)

Bash: The jest of it; Sarah Palin, calls into the Rock Update and thinks the show is the Rock-A-Bye, I try and explain that it’s the Rock Update show and we are taping, so she continues and ask me what I am wearing and asks me if I want to go moose riding sometime. I explain we are taping and and call her a dimwit.

Special Thanks to: Toxic for the use of their kick ass songs: “Feed me bitch” and “Lucifer” for this shows soundtrack.

Rock On! And we will C-YA in next week, Catch me Cyberspace, I am usually jacked in somewhere.
