Hello all you Rockers,
Welcome to the ABN Rock Update for the week of November 21st, 2008. This week we have four bands of different genres and backgrounds to share that I have personally aero-certified, and for you first time viewers and listeners I am Aero and this is Tannrr. So I would like to call this shows format: “Reefers, Dobbs, Infection and Sweetness”.
Let’s get this party started with the Showcase band and a brief description.
- Throw down titans, highly influenced by “Sublime” and the responsible use of; I bring to you:

http://www.myspace.com/illscarlett
Type of Music – Rock / Dub/ Punk
Coming to us out of: Toronto, Canada
illScarlett: has re-invigorated a ska presence to the mainstream we lost with Bradley Nowell. They made stage in the parking lot “On the Warped Tour in 04” not being on the bill and life has been different since that day. Canadian breed and being freely open with their lyrical party attitude and songs. This act will light you up in a day of need and get you back on track, and in the right groove.
My favorite songs are: “OneA” and “Nothing Special”
Current Hot CD is: “All day with it”
Scheduled shows: November 26th, out to December 19th, 2008
Rated: (5 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke
-Still under the same name but a new lead with a different attitude, paying respect with the same hardcore shit, their back!; I bring to you this week’s Headline Band:

Type of Music – Rock/ Punk / Metal
Coming to us out of: Los Angeles California United States
Snot: has influenced my life as much as “Nirvana” did, we lost a good man, and his best friend, but now their back with revenge and the vocals of Tommy are razor sharp and the rest of the guys are still as great as before. Trust me these guys will rise and retain the memory of Lynn and Dobbs. They have played with “Godsmack”, and “Limp Bizkit” just to name a few. If you were asleep the first round, get up and wipe your nose and take notice because “Snot” is back and rocking again.
My favorite songs are: from the new shit;”The band plays on” and old shit “The Box”
Current Hot CD is: “Alive”
Scheduled shows: November 19th out December 20th 2008 (National US Tour)
Rated: (5 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke
- From the infection and blood of many genres and encouraging all to open eyes and Think, Question and React; I bring to you this week’s Shout-out for the show:

http://www.myspace.com/1nchpunch
Type of Music – Industrial / Metal / Experimental
Coming to us out of: Austin, Texas United States
1nch Punch: purely have a talent with their creative well written lyrics and the bellowing explosive vox and grinding guitars, not to forget the thunder from the skins. They have played with “Rigor Mortis” and “Disfigured” to name a few. This act will get your blood pumping and get you thinking. If you like it heavy and hard, then this act will unload it on you.
My favorite songs are: “Shock Collar” and “Awol”
Current Hot CD is: “Everything’s Eventual”
Scheduled shows: In the Studio
Rated: (3 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke
- Taking no prisoners, with some poppy and catchy and truly entertaining talent, I bring to you the Closer for this week’s show:

http://www.myspace.com/drivingeast
Type of Music – Powerpop / Punk / Rock
Coming to us out of: Fairfax, Virginia United States
Driving East: are energetic and captivating and if you’re in a bad mood, they have the power to put you back in a good mood. Barrett’s vocals are refreshing and will have you eventually singing along without even realizing it. Full of infectious choruses and the super catchy backing of the band in a whole they deliver a diamond in the rough with not really a slow tune. This act harnesses a sugary sound that’s pretty righteous, check um out and be happy!
My favorite songs are: “Sing While You Can” and “Come on Come On”
Current Hot CD is: “the Future of the Free World Is Riding on This One”
Scheduled shows: Let look for them in 2009
Rated: (4 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke
Remember: to check out all the bands MySpace pages and websites mentioned on the show for further details and to catch a show and purchase a CD, if you like them too, let them know where the hell you heard about them from, and also share them and us with all your friends.
Bash/ and or Prayers Out: Aero who we bashing?
(See what we had to say by watching this week’s show and see what the photo's share. No offense meant with the finger. :))
Bash: No bash, It’s some chit chat and open to anything and everything starting with you birthday old man Tannrr, Happy Birthday, Buddy.

Corrections: I goofed and for the Shout out on the show said the wrong weblink. It’s correct in this blog and was on the embed text link on the show. :) (If you find incorrect information on the show or in the blog please email me and I will make sure it is corrected with corrections in the email subject line) It was a good show for being sick, it was hard to be charged.
Note to Readers: Everyone have a bodacious and filling “Thanksgiving”, and if you’re not able to spend it with the family, give them a call. Also try and grab a local show and support your music scene.
Rock On! And we will C-YA in next week, Catch me Cyberspace, I am usually jacked in somewhere.
That’s a rap!!
