Hello all you Rockers,

Welcome to the ABN Rock Update for the week of November 14th, 2008. This week we have four bands that will seduce you and electrify you, to share that I have personally aero-certified, and for you first time viewers and listeners I am Aero and this is Tannrr.

So I would like to call this shows format: “Doom, Vampires, Emeralds and Skin”.

Let’s get this party started with the Showcase band and a brief description.

- Driving rhythms and hypnotic vocal melodies that punches you square in the gut; I bring to you:

1. Electra-Kill

http://www.myspace.com/electrakill

Type of MusicIndustrial/ Rock/ Metal

Coming to us out of: Paris

Electra-Kill: the Cyber Chaotic band formed in the Underground of Paris, in 1998 by KILL X (Guitarist/Songwriter) and Vocalist/Songwriter R.S. SAIDSO. Together they have created some of the most interesting music I have heard that slams your senses with the force of a freight train and infects you with the need to dance. They are a must for fans of “Marilyn Manson” and “Nine Inch Nails”. Every track on their current CD rocks.

My favorite songs are: “Don’t U Try N’ Break My Heart” and “Mint Girl”

Current Hot CD is: “The Death of Venus 292”

Scheduled shows: November 15th out to December 27th, 2008 (US Tour)

Rated: (4 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke

- Post apocalyptic rock and roll with a strong scent of vampire blood; I bring to you this week’s Headline Band:

2. The 69 Eyes

http://www.myspace.com/theofficial69eyes

Type of MusicGothic/ Rock

Coming to us out of: Finland

The 69 Eyes: bring us music that oozes of sex, pulsing guitars, crashing drums, and a brilliant angelic, devilish sound that will blow you away and leave you dripping in blood and gasoline. They have play with “Cradle of Filth” and “Wednesday 13” to name a few. Get out your shades, tight leather pants and be ready to rock out and get a little sleazy while you’re at it. This act will fellate you and give you pure gratification.

My favorite songs are: “Never Say Die” and “Rocker”

Current Hot CD is: “Hollywood Kills – Live at the Whisky a Go Go”.

Scheduled shows: December 30th out to March 2nd, 2009

Rated: (5 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke

- A hidden gem that bleeds of success, churning dark intensity within the Emerald City ; I bring to you this week’s Shout-out for the show:

3. The Flood

http://www.myspace.com/thefloodtheband

Type of MusicRock / Progressive / Metal

Coming to us out of: Seattle, Washington United States

The Flood: this is a 5 piece act skillfully blends a soulful hard rock, industrial dark sound, with Darrick’s cool beat-box style vocals intertwined with Chris’s razor sharp lead vox and the explosive visual effects and excellence of the remaining members you’re in for a hella ride. The recent de-classified info is there’s a bounty for $1000 in greenbacks, “The Flood” is seeking an exceptional guitarist. They are currently using Alex Kaine from”Anti-Product”. If you like “Tool”, “Korn” and “System of the Down” then this act is your poison. No epikak required!

My favorite songs are:”Fairy Princess” and “Fragile Mind” neither are located on their MySpace page but on that:

Current Hot CD is: “Fragile Mind”

Scheduled shows: They just finished up their summer tour and our working on the new CD.

Rated: (4 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke

- Candy for your central nervous system, and skull defying intellect, I bring to you the Closer for this week’s show:

4. Braintoy

http://www.myspace.com/braintoy

Type of MusicRock /Progressive/ Metal

Coming to us out of: Toronto, Ontario Canada

Braintoy: sends you on a sonic journey with their soaring ethereal vocals, and a rollercoaster of wisdom in every song and brilliance in the playing abilities of the rest of the band. You will be delighted with nothing but genuine international class with this powerhouse band live or blasting their tunes to be blown away. You won’t regret it, they are simple amazing!

My favorite songs are: Third stone from the kidney” and “Vehicles”

Current Hot CD is: “Vehicles”

Scheduled shows: November 28th, 2008

Rated: (4 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke

Remember: to check out all the bands MySpace pages and websites mentioned on the show for further details and to catch a show and purchase a CD, if you like them too, let them know where the hell you heard about them from, and also share them and us with all your friends.

Bash/ and or Prayers Out: (See what we had to say by watching this week’s show)

No bash this week Tannrr, I wanted to share the most priceless question I have ever received in a comment last month. It was from December of “Terra Mortim” last month. I was asked: If caught between two evils, and given the choice of fine dining: eating either your own arm, or your best friend’s ass, what would you, kind sirs, choose? I replied back basically with I would answer that when we met and I had a few drinks. So what would our fans answer be? Leave us your answers in a comment stated, ”Answer” and the best one over the next week, I will give the winner a signed by us on a local radio rock station banner and signed photo of Tannrr and I.

Soundtrack used for the show: The Flood, songs: Fairy Princess, The Flood, The Hunt. I was given permission to use this music in a email from the band. Thanks guys, it really rocked using this for the show. These guys are some of the nicest guys you could ever meet.
