It only takes one time and your hooked!

Hello all you Rockers,

Welcome to the ABN Rock Update for the week of October 17th, 2008. This week we have four bands that have only the love for music and the fans in common to share that I have personally aero-certified, and for you first time viewers and listeners I am Aero and this is Tannrr.

So I would like to call this shows format: “Dreamy, Dark Kisses and Fine Pleasing Wine”.

Let’s get this party started with the Showcase band and a brief description.

-This act is an actor, stuntman double for Travolta and now a singer; I bring to you:

1. Nick Loren

http://www.myspace.com/nickloren

Type of MusicR&B / Pop

Coming to you out of: California United States

Nick Loren: is an actor and has been a stunt double for John Travolta since 1996, and is now following his music dream as a fine singer. He has been in over 16 movies. He has been coined as McDreamy in the music industry, and has been performing since the age of 4 in church and with his father’s band. His singing style is as fresh and full of passion as his film work.

My favorite songs are: “Forever be cool” and “Mesmerized”

Current Hot CD is: “Forever be cool”

Scheduled shows: N/A

Rated: (4 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke

-A dark act that is unleashing bolting vocals, catchy riffs and blood pounding skins; I bring to you this week’s Headline Band:

2. Die So Fluid

http://www.myspace.com/diesofluid

Type of MusicMetal / Punk / Rock

Coming to you out of: London

Die So Fluid: are a 3 piece act that spawned over 4 years back and have a hot female singer and bass player named “Grog”, along with “Drew” on the strings and “Al” on the skins we are served some infectious nu-metal and raw punk. They are not just a band but are more like a cult. They have played with MSI, Drowning Pool, and Plastic Toys just to name a few. My favorite songs are “The Kiss and the Kick” and “Disconnected”, but all are stadium pleasing and may cause a seizure with their raw power.

Current Hot CD is: “Not Everybody Gets a Happy Ending” and “Spawn of Dysfunction” due in late 2008.

Scheduled shows: October 18th out to April 2009

Rated: (4 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke

*Tannrr – Hand off! What do you have for us this week buddy?

-This act will take you to the place you go when you’re stoned beyond all limits; I bring to you this week’s Shout-out for the show:

3. Aeth3r – (Pronounced ee-ther)

http://www.myspace.com/aeth3r

Type of Music - Rock / Alternative / Pop

Coming to you out of: Elgin, Skokie, Illinois United States

Aeth3r: is a well machined fine act that is combined of longtime friends and a project that started in 2003, with seasoned vocals and distinctive guitar, and explosive bass and drums, we have a live act that delivers some powerful songs that are explosive and pleasing. I personally like the song: “Machine” and “Down Low”.

Current Hot CD is: not yet printed but 6 tracks are one MySpace.

Scheduled shows: October 17th out to December 27th, 2008 regionally

Rated: (4 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke

-Changing the genre to a romantic dinner and a few bottles of wine filled with laughs and sharing joyous memories, I bring to you the Closer for this week’s show:

4. Gustav and the Seasick Sailors

http://www.myspace.com/gatss

Type of MusicFolk / Pop / Alternative

Coming to you out of: Sweden

Gustav and the Seasick Sailors: are a collective of musicians runs by the brilliant singer and songwriter Gustav that was formed in 2004 and a combo that just works, the music is bright and heartfelt and brings out pure joy and fully speaks for its self. Honestly, I was unable to choose a favorite song since they are all magically balanced and for sure indie radio hits.

Current Hot CD is: “Brilliant Hands”

Scheduled shows: October 17th out to November 8th, 2008

Rated: (4 out of 5) Clouds of Smoke

Remember: to check out all the bands MySpace pages and websites mentioned on the show for further details and to catch a show and purchase a CD, if you like them too, let them know where the hell you heard about them from, and also share them and us with all your friends.

Bash/ and or Prayers Out: Aero? (See what we had to say by watching this week’s show)

Bash: AC/DC, say to hell with ITunes for “Black Ice”, if you want it, you have to buy it all at Wal-Mart or the band website with no 45s on the selves as what helped the band in my day.

Brian Johnson gambles to have enough remaining dedicated followers and says no digital sales. I wonder if that decision was solely made by Brian or Sony’s Columbia Music to make more money. I still feel it strikes the wrong chord for AC/DC, but with fans snapping up tickets for the world tour we will have to wait and see. All I can say is “HELLS BELLS”, I hope the bands not being too old fashioned since it’s the digital age and many of us sport IPods these days. Look for “Black Ice to hit the record stores on October 20th.
